Advent Calendar & Card Making Classes

Advent Calendar

Make a beautiful Advent Calendar that will be treasured for years to come.

No experience needed. All supplies are provided.

Date: Saturday, December 10th from 9am - 1 pm

Cost: $30

Card Buffet

Featuring birthday, thank you, new baby, wedding, get well, holiday, etc cards. At each event, you will have 16 different cards to choose from.

The $16 class fee entitles you to make a minimum of 8 cards. Additional cards can be made for $2 each.

Directions and supplies are provided. No experience needed. Please bring adhesive and scissors.

Starting in February, 2012

Date: Second Saturday of every month, from 9:30am - 1:30pm

Thanksgiving Day 3

Day Three of our Thanksgiving posts is a little bit different from the rest. I love the top note die! So many things you can do with it.

Here's what I did to create the focal point of the card:
Used scraps of Spice Cake DSP and punched out 12 squares
Glued them down to a 4" x 5" piece of whisper white card stock
Using Top Note die, ran through Big Shot
Marveled at how beautiful it was, but knew it could be better, so I...
Ran my patchwork piece through the Big Shot again, but this time with the Square Lattice embossing folder
Gorgeous! Looks like a warm, cozy quilt.

Ink: Early Espresso
Card Stock: More Mustard, Whisper White. Early Espresso
Accessories: Antique Brads, 1" square punch, 1-1/4" square punch, sponges

SU products are so versatile, that even when using the same stamps and designer paper, you can come up with numerous looks.

Preparing for Thanksgiving

Last weekend, Nancy and I went to a crop in New Cumberland, PA, hosted by Janet Wakeland. What a blast! We got so much done. Over the next few days, I'll be showing you the Thanksgiving cards that I created. All with the same designer paper (Spice Cake), and stamp sets (Gently Falling and Hand Penned Holidays).

This is a CASE (copy and share everything) card. At the moment, I can't remember where I CASE'd it from, but if I remember, I'll come back and update this entry.

I love this stamp set. Fortunately, Nancy owns it and brought it along. Unfortunately, it seems that I'm going to have to purchase it, as I thoroughly enjoyed creating with it.
